Our Privacy Commitment

At ConfessYourSins.com, your privacy is our top priority. This platform was built from the ground up to be completely anonymous. We do not collect, store, or track any personal information that could identify you.

What We DON'T Collect

  • No IP addresses - We do not log or store your IP address
  • No user accounts - No registration, login, or user profiles
  • No cookies for tracking - We only use essential cookies for site functionality
  • No email addresses - We never ask for or store your email
  • No device fingerprinting - We don't create unique identifiers for your device
  • No location data - We don't collect geographic information

What Information We Do Collect

To provide our service, we collect minimal, non-identifying information:

  • Confession content - The text of your confession (which is automatically redacted to remove personal information)
  • Gender selection - Your chosen gender category (Male, Female, Other/Prefer not to say)
  • Age range - Your selected age range bracket
  • Timestamp - The date and time when the confession was submitted

Important: None of this information can be traced back to you personally.

AI-Powered Redaction

Every confession is automatically processed through our AI redaction system, which removes:

  • Names (real names, usernames, nicknames)
  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Addresses (street addresses, cities, specific locations)
  • Social media handles
  • Company names and workplace identifiers
  • Any other personally identifiable information

We store both the original (for legal compliance) and redacted versions, but only the redacted version is ever displayed publicly.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use minimal cookies and local storage for:

  • Theme preference - Remembering if you prefer light or dark mode
  • Essential functionality - Basic site operation (session management, CSRF protection)

We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or analytics purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google reCAPTCHA - For spam and bot protection (subject to Google's privacy policy)
  • Vercel Analytics - For basic, privacy-friendly usage statistics (no personal data collected)
  • Redaction Service - For automated content redaction (confessions are sent anonymously)

These services may collect minimal data as outlined in their respective privacy policies.

Data Retention

We retain confession data indefinitely for the purpose of maintaining the service. However:

  • Original (unredacted) confessions are stored securely and never displayed publicly
  • Redacted confessions are publicly visible on the site
  • We may remove confessions that violate our Terms of Service

NSFW Content Detection

We use automated systems to detect and flag NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content. Flagged confessions are blurred by default and require user interaction to view. This helps maintain a respectful environment.

Your Rights

Because we don't collect personal information, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete. Your confessions are anonymous and cannot be traced back to you.

If you believe a confession violates our policies or contains your personal information despite redaction, please contact us immediately.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the data we collect:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
  • Secure database storage with access controls
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Rate limiting to prevent abuse

Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has submitted a confession, we will take steps to remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
